Adjunct Souls Publishing is a small and independent publisher interested in publishing works linked by authentic confrontation with the human experience in the ever more destructive and violent world we inhabit.

Our name speaks to how structures of power, culture, and politics treat human life as superfluous and disposable – as an adjunct.

We are interested in publishing works in any genre, from poetry to non-fiction to graphic novels and anything else. 

While Adjunct Souls Publishing does not enforce a distinct or monolithic editorial voice, our orienting principles favor works that are in some way reflective on liberation or human suffering at any level. We seek works that are critical, anti-authoritarian, anti-racist, anti-patriarchal, trans-inclusive, and revolutionary. We want unique voices to speak to pain and joy, self-discover, self-negation, and the complexity of what it is to be. We are invested in interrogating and centering that which is deauthorized by the hegemonic norms of emergent fascism. We favor diversity and multiplicity in confrontation with these things, and we are also interested in works that may have other important things to say so long as they don’t conflict with our core values.

Adjunct Souls Publishing is committed to using absolutely no artificial intelligence in the production of any writing or art, including book covers. However, we may make an exception when inclusion of AI generated content serves the purpose of critiquing and attacking it.

We currently rely on print-on-demand services such as Amazon in order to keep costs low. Currently, this allows us to balance providing our books at reasonable prices for readers while making sure authors receive a larger share of the proceeds than other alternatives.
